"Chris Rock didn't have that much time" is totally irrelevant; she's good at it (and quick, pick any "on the fly" comment she makes, it's funny), he isn't

Not in the context of the setting, purpose, etc…Oscars presentation isn’t remotely similar other than a joke is made. Heck non-comedians make jokes when presenting.

The only equivalent would be a clip from another awards type ceremony in which it’s done differently than Rock’s.

so? "attempting to work / involve a crowd" is the point of comparison; I'm saying most people shouldn't bother trying

there's nothing in what Chris Rock did that's inherent to celebrity award shows other than presenting an award, and I'm not critiquing that
