Hahaha... not a car owner, didn't know that was a thing people did. Cute.

haha, one of my favorites! An old Subaru 4WD Loyale. Can't remember the year. Was living in Colorado, and I had studless snow tires that were put on every winter, and they were called Blizzaks. Adopted it to the car. Would always encourage Blizzak when I had to drive 5 miles to the base I was stationed at in feet of snow.dad wrote:tell us a little about Blizzak.

Re: Ask RM a Question
Bumping this to say that I just ordered a Cameo from Ray Abruzzo, the guy who played Little Carmine on The Sopranos. It's my third time buying a Cameo as a gift for someone, but the first time the performer reached out to ask me additional questions to best customize my order. He enabled free messaging (Cameo usually charges an additional $20 if you wanna go beyond the allotted 250 characters to describe your order) and asked me a bunch of questions about my friend and our relationship, to personalize the message as much as possible. And the video turned out great.Jorge wrote:Have you ever bought a Cameo for yourself or someone else? If so, who was it and what was the experience like? If not, does the idea seem appealing to you at all?
So if you're ever in the market for a personalized greeting from an actor who played a small part in a TV show 20 years ago, I can heartily endorse Ray Abruzzo. What a class act.

Re: Ask RM a Question
I can't imagine a celebrity I would enjoy a personalized message from. It's not like they know me. Feels staged and forced. If you're going to spend that kind of money, just please give it to me instead.

Re: Ask RM a Question
I love him. But it's like, not really for me, you know? He doesn't know me. Might as well just do a generalized message and cut/paste my details in certain spots, you know? If I get to hang out with him, that's another story. But I'd still prefer the money.dad wrote:what if it was from Mike McDaniel?

Re: Ask RM a Question
My preference would be for a personalized video message from an RMer, or a group of RMers. Ideally, for my birthday this year, you will all record personalized messages of good wishes and salutations for me and then have someone edit them all together and upload it to Vimeo or something. I will be really disappointed if you guys don't do this for me.
Please consider voting for me

Re: Ask RM a Question
It works best if it's for a laugh, a gesture related to conversations you've had and not like a celebrity you actually love and admire. The idea (at least for me) isn't to pretend that you're actually friends with the performer. Like if I paid Chad Smith to send you a birthday greeting that'd be kind of cute.tree_ wrote:I can't imagine a celebrity I would enjoy a personalized message from. It's not like they know me.
