Not a true isolation and there are really smart tools out there to get something good, they just cost money.
I thought I heard some of that too. Does that contribute to the dampened sound too? Because the drums sound terrible here.
But Matt’s playing is incredible. So many wonderful things he’s doing.

Cancelled my preorder after hearing the snippets… that production does not do these songs any favours. I had a fear when I hear that Watt was producing after listening to Ed’s solo album but thought PJs songwriting would shine through. This sounds like brickwalling gone awry

Can you get a full song credit, for coming up with only the drums on Dark Matter?

I'm pretty happy that Dark Matter, Something Special and Running are not really named as the standouts so far. I think the best things are still to come.
I'm a bit of an annoying purist though and don't like Josh and Watt being involved in this capacity. Would be funny if Watt gets as many writing credits as Stone.

I thought it was kinda funny that Stone says Something Special was more of an Ed song. For me it’s a code for “it sucks”.
Kinda reminded me of Kim and Ben of SG talking about Halfway There when King Animal came out
“Yeah that’s Chris song, we did some stuff all over it and it was done”

That song really stood out like a sore thumb. Great album tho.

Weeeeeeell I don’t know.
Taree is the only recognizable SG song on this otherwise forgettable collection of songs
