It's hilarious that more often than not when Ed is pictured at baseball games he's wearing one of the replica batting helmets (meant either for children or to serve popcorn or ice cream out of) instead of a baseball cap.

I wonder if he rinses them off after he finishes the popcorn or ice cream, or if he just pops that sucker right on when he finishes eating.

That's a lot of ice cream for one man

At baseball games you CAN in fact get ice cream out of those full sized helmets. They give you two spoons but I once watched someone eat the whole thing without sharing (if you really want to see I can PM you a picture).

I do recall there were smaller ones in the 90s Dairy Queen used to sell with sundaes in them.

My initial point was, it's hilarious a grown man is wearing a plastic replica helmet as opposed to a baseball hat.

That's the only reason I always pony up. I let it lapse once about 6 or 7 years ago, and they reinstated my number. I've had it since '95.

haha. I've got one of those lower numbers as well and it hasn't done shit for me in a long time. I'm yet to win reserved seating and only got ga once out of my many attempts at tickets. However, at $20 a year I just can't let it go. Someday its got to come in handy again, I hope

FWIW....I let my membership lapse this go-round after 16 years.

It's less of a money-saving thing, and more of a "I'm not giving these people any more money." It was basically $40 for the vinyl. My 10c seats weren't all that great and I did not like the sign up for as many shows as you can and hope you get lucky thing. I put in for two shows hoping to get one...I got both (not a bad problem to have), but I didn't really want to go to two shows. It was fun, but not worth it.

Again, for what it's worth.

Yeah, the "access to 10c seats" is a total scam. Especially when you are living somewhere that's a popular destination for shows. I've paid $40/year, and they play here - what - every 4 years?

I guess I could have access to South American tickets if I wanted to foot the airline price for a flight to Brazil

That's exactly what I was going to do (same exact reasoning) this year after 19 years, but it snuck up on me and auto-renewed.

Having worked inside and outside charities, it's fairly difficult to ensure all profits go to the charity. The best charities have some type of ratio that maximizes the giving against the overhead costs.

I have no problem with this effort by Pearl Jam. It's their favorite team and they are back in the SB, and they have a knack for creating some really cool sports themed shirts. And if a portion of that effort goes to charity, all the better.
