I might be the only guy around here that thinks 4-5 dudes staying together for several decades is nothing short of a minor miracle. Kudos to PJ, U2, Metallica, Green Day, Tool et al for doing it.

They're doing the bare minimum to keep the brand going (releasing a couple albums per decade) while they rake in the millions as a nostalgia live act. I guess it is kind of miraculous.

Guys, they're clearly pacing themselves b/c they realize how much energy it takes to create the greatest album of all time. It's gonna take everything they have.

Four years to begin to think about the beginning of the beginning... which should mean about 28 years of recording (give or take)... add on four more years for album art, title selection, promotion, distribution, funerals... we're looking at a (fingers crossed) 4th quarter of 2049 release date.

The only real question is can they tour awesome or merely very good when they're in their mid-80s.

(My bet is on awesome, but I'm an optimist.)
