Guys I'm wondering if I'm sad to see this part of my life go or not.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
It surely was a beautiful, though emotionally fraught, time.

Re: How Harmless killed some time...
And thus ends another chapter in the glorious history of RM. What started only months before, with the announcement of a new album name and the first single 'Mind Your Manners', is now but a distant memory. These events spurred what became a flurry of excitement and a war of emotions.
Simultaneous feelings of excitement, dismay, optimism, pessimism, ruthless loathing and displays of homoerotic love were portrayed over the following months. It was a battle of wills, pure optimists that insisted the band had not yet lost their way and were in the lead up to a 'second coming' - were up against those that had already written of their once favourite band with the powerfully dark words of "RIP Pearl Jam".
The journey was punctuated with a slow and metered flow of information and snippets from the 'powers that be', feeding the thirst of those that chose to follow. Rumours of leaks were constant, and a spike in new blood in the RM battalion always surrounded the moments when these rumours were abundant.
Then, when the thread was enduring it's darkest moments, and the population of RM were wondering if even LB really existed, a small rupture appeared on the main artery of PJ that bled what was then know as the "4 song leak". This leak drew both praise and criticism, and split RM at it's seams creating three distinct precincts - the lovers, the haters, and the 'purists'. The latter group branched out on their own, refusing to listen to the leaks.
The motivation behind the 'purists' group was mainly due to reasons of a need for an untainted listen of the album, either due to the quality of the material, or the need for the 'liner notes' containing the valuable scripture that is to accompany the final product. This group became known as the 'No Leak Club' and included the one know as 'harmless' (the brave). This hero took a tainted bullet for his men, by leaving the 'No Leak Club' to listen to the leak and then warn his comrades of the horrors and regret that followed. 'harmless' (the brave) then went on to spew forth the texts of a modern day bible, creating an almighty record of 10,000 posts in the blink of an eye.
The journey soon culminated in a flurry of dog images and gifs, along with the final leak of the remainder of LB. This final leak was actually brought about by PJ themselves, rather than unauthorised sources, which was jokingly predicted by some of the lesser sane individuals in the proverbial clown car that is RM. The last gasps of the journey were the remaining brethren of RM trying to convince 'harmless' (the brave) to get a dog.
The epilogue to this tale of madness, and redemption, leads to the realisation that while 'harmless' (the brave) may not be able to use his physical legs, he walks among us as a cornerstone of solidarity, humility and selflessness.
He left the oceans of our hearts, to become a god. He was 'harmless'.

So lightning bolt is one year old today. It is still my go to Pearl jam album and I've been really happy with how its held up. Hardly a game changer, but a very satisfying listen from start to finish.
