She's never emotionally unstable. She clearly doesn't have a mental disorder in that regard. Her aggressive anti-social behavior is earned and justified.tragabigzanda wrote:yeah i don't know what the clinical definitions are, maybe you're right. What I'm trying to say is that I liked her and don't think she was ever emotionally unstable.

I already discuss why i think she is deranged and a sociopath joe
She is super unstable emotionally. Have you seen the movie? she cant seem to talk to anyone, or have a relationship with anyone. Her whole life is motorized by revenge. She does horrible stuff to both her former classmate and the principal of the school.epilogue wrote:She's never emotionally unstable. She clearly doesn't have a mental disorder in that regard. Like you say, clinically, maybe that still qualifies her as a sociopath or a psychopath (we've used both words and I'm not sure which one we're supposed to be discussing here). I'm not a doctor. But I would think that trauma induced behavior is a different beast. Are sociopaths born or made? Does one develop sociopath behavior? Or is one born a sociopath?
She clearly has PTSD. But does that make her a sociopath? I really don't know. Like I said, I'm not a doctor. But if she's a sociopath then so John Rambo and Cliff Booth and John Wick and on and on...
Maybe she is and maybe that's a fair label. But either way I think the character is justified and likeable and everything and specific and stable.

She isn't crazy she's traumatized. PTSD isn't crazy. I wouldn't classify Cassie as deranged. I don't think she's wild and uncontrolled. Again, she's specific and precise. I think her thinking is clear throughout. Again, any mental illness she may have is caused by trauma disorder.tree_ wrote:The way you can know she is crazy is, ask yourself if you want a society filled with people like her. You'd better hope everyone's moral compasses are perfect.
In any case of insanity or misfortune at all, it can be soundly argued it isn't their fault. Nonetheless, I wouldn't trust her in my life, and she isn't fit for a healthy life as she is, without substantial change. As for "controlled, specific and precise", that may be true up to a point, but it ultimately led to herepilogue wrote:She isn't crazy she's traumatized. PTSD isn't crazy. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
