Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Wow!! Great record
Not sure why I overlooked this one all these years
Perfect set up for Mirrorball
Love that album. My first exposure to these songs was from that Jim Jarmusch Year of the Horse movie. I especially love those versions
YES!!
Year of the Horse was fantastic
Love it

Uncle Neils 90s albums are so good. I think ragged glory is my least favorite (I haven't listened to harvest moon for awhile, it probably is my lowest)

yeah, the ditch trilogy is great. Its not my fav from him, but its still a moment from his career i always go back to.

I wonder if the truck is similar to the one Rick Rubin has on Shangri La.

I likely consider On the Beach my favorite, with Rust Never Sleeps maybe second.

On the Beach and Tonight’s the Night were both recorded in a “mobile recording studio,” basically a huge box truck with recording gear set up inside of it. Everyone was stoned on “honeysliders” — basically hashish cookies — and in certain cases asked to play their non-primary instrument. Not sure if Homegrown was recorded the same way but it would stand to reason.

The Ditch Trilogy — which I consider a quadrilogy given the addition of Homegrown — is my favorite era, and it’s all in those circumstances.
I think I go back to this section in Shakey about once a year.

Underrated, the lot of ‘em.

Also really like the “A Treasure” archive release. And Life. And Trans.

“Life” was released on the day I was born.

87 was a weird year for music production :haha:
