Flew over Asia several times.

This is a very weird thread. Is it about the "war on terror"? I can see how that mostly takes place in the Middle East, parts of Africa, and in Afghanistan. Then the thread should be solely about that, and really about terror anywhere in the world.

But with news about Bangladesh, it reads more like: Here you can write about the war on terror, or about anything that happens in Central Asia, the Middle East or Africa. And really, let's dump the central and mid, so that it is also about anything that happens in Asia.

That's just weird.

Regardless of the location, it appears an Arab spring style revolution is being attempted in Bangladesh. Given that the outcomes of those overwhelmingly result in increased terrorism, seems relevant.

«Hasina’s abrupt exit ends 15 years in power that has been marked by a stifling of civil freedoms and the heavy-handed use of security forces to crush dissent, critics and rights groups say.»

Will probably end up with less.

Hard to say. The military refusing orders to suppress the protests, and the interim government bringing Prof Yunus in to guide the transition both seem cause for hope.

Yes, Yunus seems like a very promising choice.
