After several lifetimes, he gets really good at everything and can manipulate anyone into believing anything he wants, but it doesn't free him from suffering.

It's only after he loves her (and everything else) in a completely selfless way that he attains nirvana. It's no longer about what he gets out of it.
That's what I got it of it anyway.

If have to watch it again but I could see how it would be hard to believe Bill Murray really learned anything or was acting honestly.

The most by the numbers Craig-Bond film I think. It’s a decent action film.
