pnjguy wrote:As for the outlook of this team, Seabrook has a year left on his deal. The way I see it, Sharp is gone, Oduya, Rozsival, and Bickell are most likely gone, and the rentals are gone. That leaves Toews (27), Kane (26), Hossa, Saad (22), Crawford, Teuvo (20), Hammer (27), Van Riemsdyk, Shaw (23), Kruger, Veersteeg, and prospects like Svedberg. That’s pretty solid. It will be difficult to make it out of the west next year with the lack of D, but the year after that with some retooling, they could back in the mix.
Sharp is gone. He was slowing down this year anyways. I think Oduya is gone too. That will be the hardest to replace since we don't have much past the top 4.

Crow was amazing.

Unbelievably loud there. You couldn't hear Jim Cornelison sing the anthem.
CBC guy was calling it the best anthem ever. Damn that guy has some pipes.

if toews retired right now he'd be a first ballot hall of famer. the dude is everything that is right about hockey. with that said, seeing him give the cup to kimmo timonen made my night. i'm not sure flyers fans realize how good he was when he was here. he might be the best flyers dman i ever saw play. i know he didnt play much, but he's been such a great player his entire career and almost had to quit last year b/c of blood clots in his lungs, its awesome to see him go out like this.

 on Toews.

Most hockey players are what's right about hockey.

I don't get why adding a 5-minute 3-on-3 after the regular OT was so complicated.

because the players association isn't about to let their star players get run ragged for nothing in return

:haha:
Soderbergh is a great 3rd line center who can fill in on the 2nd line for short stints. Colorado is either overpaying him to be on the 3rd line or going to be very disappointed with him on the 2nd line.

The Bruins got fucking swindled in that trade. Not a good start for Sweeney.

I think they did okay return wise but if they were going to deal a d-man, Chara would have been my choice. I would have dealt him last year if possible.

Are Bruins in a rebuild mode under Sweeney? The d is awfully thin now.
