I am glad that I watched Breaking Bad before Better Call Saul, but I feel like it would unfair to compare the 2. Breaking Bad was basically where Vince and Gould really honed their craft and Better Call Saul is the result of that creative team really finding their groove.

By that logic no two works by the same artist should be compared because they were made at different expertise/experience levels. It's okay to say that one is better

Yes and Saul is definitely better. I guess my point is more that context matters. Breaking Bad was great for its time.
