You really can't judge an action movie off of a cam version. That's just ridiculous. Really I think you've done yourself a disservice by watching it that way.

If you were at all interested in seeing it why would you do that? Just go to the theater or wait for the Blu-ray.

A movie only gets to make one first impression and you have severely handicapped this one.

I may have, although the biggest issues I have with the film are not with the action. It was with the weak characterization and nonsensical plot. This just seems like a profoundly poorly told story. It's possible a better cinematic experience would have papered over some of that a bit.

That and RM.

I am always interested in knowing how people perceive things.

I mean, describe Wonder Woman's personality? Who is she, that people found her character compelling?

Why would Lex Luthor have created Doomsday?

Martha?

These are CRITICAL elements of the story, and they all fail in powerful ways.

Stip can you at least admit that watching a cam version of a movie whose every beat you already read spoilers for while delighting in all the negative reviews was bound to disappoint? I don't think anyone cares that you disliked it but at least agree this movie never had a chance.

WW is certainly underdeveloped, as are all the shoehorned EU introductions. This is all fucking Marvel's fault.

I covered the other two issues in my analysis, I would say. They made perfect sense to me.

You don't understand LV you guys have to go back and forth making the same points over and over again while neither of you gives an inch till you become exasperated and Stip claims victory. It's the RM way.

I already conceded that about the cam stuff. It was the first thing I said about the movie. The rest I think you're wrong about. I went into this with a reasonably open mind. I wasn't rooting against it. I love this genre. I just wasn't sold on the movie and based my decision not to spend theater money on the reviews. I read lots of things praising Batfleck and WW and was mildly disappointed with what I got. There were several sequences that I thought were very good. In the end I thought Lex was annoying but based on trailers I was one of the few people in this thread posting that I expected him to be pretty good. I was also a defender of the Batfleck casting. I don't dislike Zach Snyder (I like Watchman quite a bit). I thought parts of Man of Steel were pretty solid. And I don't watch things just to trash them. I watch them because I'm curious about them. The 'does this have the problems that people say it does' narrative was obviously in my mind, but it's also pretty clear that those issues are unquestionably there in spades.

I didn't think I'd like deadpool and was pleasantly surprised when I just saw that, and I have way more issues with Ryan Reynolds than anyone in this movie. So it's not like I can't give things a shot. And while I generally am not that interested in Superman as a character, I have no expectations for wonder woman and was curious to see what they delivered, since that had good buzz (turns out, not much). And Batman is a favorite. I was historically not a fan of DC comics, but I haven't read comics in 20 years, and the characters who are my current favorites are people I couldn't give two shits about when I was reading.

I would never go so far as to CLAIM victory. I just leave it dangling there for you to infer.

Were the kids climbing on you Stip while you watched a bad copy of the movie on your computer or just screaming in the background?

Putting aside Stip's specific criticisms here for a second... guys, please don't watch cam versions of movies. Just don't do that. Have some respect for yourselves and for the art.

This was the only time I've ever done it. It does suck. I just wanted to see this in some capacity prior to civil war.

So the movie recorded on the cam played on your computer was listened to on good headphones. I didn't realize you were such a cinephile.
