Nothing in that text says "you are my son" or "I know you so can you help me" but it is easy to imply that the person knows or remembers me.

It was my dad.
You're such a strapping lad

That’s been my bother since the first ep Jorge.

She does say Ben Kenobi when Luke rescues her. So that suggests she knows him?

But looks like she’s meeting Vader next week. That opens up a can of worms. She knows Vader in the OT. Even gives him back talk when he takes over her ship.
Are we gonna see the genesis of that?

I hope not
agreed, this troubles me
Y'all are weird. I don't see any issue with any of this yet. Nothing has been retconned.
Does anything really even need to be cleared up? In ANH, she says:
General Kenobi. Years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars. Now he begs you to help him in his struggle against the Empire. I regret that I am unable to present my father's request to you in person, but my ship has fallen under attack, and I'm afraid my mission to bring you to Alderaan has failed. I have placed information vital to the survival of the Rebellion into the memory systems of this R2 unit. My father will know how to retrieve it. You must see this droid safely delivered to him on Alderaan. This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.
One can easily read that as "you helped my father before, he's asking you again" as a matter of fact. She could still know him or have memory of him and her holo quote still be valid.

Exactly.

My guess is Vader gets her has a lightsaber to her throat kinda thing. Obi wan somehow saves her and they wipe her memory

It’ll go down like a ton of lead balloons if they do this

This is not accurate. Check Reddit.

Christ no.
But thanks for explaining your perpetual gloom about these series.
Just admit you were wrong already

Christ you’re king of the pedants still.

No lectures will be taken from the guy who banned me for a picture of a wound at the top of my ass crack which nobody could identify apart from my specifying the location.

And I wasn’t wrong. At all. You guys are the only ones I’ve seen making these dumb arguments.
‘She runs funny’ for example.
for fucks saaaaaaake

Jog on

"You guys are the only ones I've seen critiquing the show" is a different thing from "You guys are the only ones critiquing the show," for what it's worth. 60% of my Twitter feed has been making fun of it (although the new episode appears to have been better received than the first 2)

She's just formal. "You served my father." Not, "you rescued me."

How often was your kid kidnapped and rescued by an old man?
In North Carolina they call that "a Hill People Special" and it's more or less a rite of passage.
Fair, but that doesn't change my mind about Ep4.

Almost like the emotional wound never healed over the course of the last 15 years

I predict the penultimate episode will be obi wan confronting Reva and we’ll find out what her deal is. Then, right before she tries to kill obi wan, the grand inquisitor will appear and take her out, all while obi wan and leia escape. The final episode will be sans leia and more about Vader realizing that obi wan is hiding/protecting Luke

Owning your mistakes and owning up to them is a good sign of maturity. We’ll be waiting I guess.

im not sure about the whole mind wipe will happen....Her message in ANH is ambiguous, it always sounded like she didnt know Kenobi before, but now it can also means she knows him...maybe she is doing that in case anyone else gets it?

Well see.

Exactly why Vader can’t meet her before the end of this.
What if he remembers? Does the math. Why is obi wan on the run with a little girl?
Who’s ten. Hang on didn’t I lose two babies once? Ten years ago?

General Kenobi years ago you rescued me from a kidnap. And darth Vader was feet away from us and kinda almost killed you but I escaped.

Cut to a new hope and she’s giving Vader sass on her cruiser when he boards it… and doesn’t know who she is in relation to him ?

They’re dancing a really fine line here. I hope they don’t fuck it up
