Exactly this. It's the best song on the record but it's hard to be most excited about it right now because everything else is so new.

Very interested in hearing the live version. But we'll probably have to wait a long while now.

I think they have done so a few times (at least a five star song on an album with several five star songs), although that will always be subjective, but agree that it's not been close since Riot Act.

the only song on your list i think is the best on the album is 'given to fly', so this is a rarity for me. regardless, i love this song.

Fair enough. Alive was a massive hit at the time, and clearly a five star song then. Go is very solid. A lot of people here have it as their favorite ever PJ song.

STBC clearly wasn't. WYA was an odd choice as well, even if it's great.

GTF and NAIS are well deserving for me. Possibly my favorite songs from the albums. About similar to where DotC is for Gigaton.

I Am Mine was a pretty good choice I think. A top Riot Act song.

WWS, The Fixer and MYM are not top 4 songs on their albums for me.

i think they’ve arguably released the best song on each album since riot act. fixer may be number 2 on backspacer

This motherfucker might be a 5 star tune. I mean we’ve had it awhile, put it’s hitting in all the right spots for me on the record.

The looser things get....tighter. Maybe not peak EV, but it’s damn good

It's the best song on the record and I am so excited they recorded this.

Man, they need to get Monkeywrench Radio going again at Ed's house. I need to hear this live.

This should have been pushed much, much lower in the album's tracklist.
Like, the one before the last song, maybe. Or third from the end.
