I get much more infuriated by the horseshit that comes out McConnell and Graham's mouths than I am by what they've actually done.

Democrats should really put 4 more justices on the court.

Sexual preference is transphobic because lesbians should not refuse to have sex with transwomen or something. This is about a month old. Its hard to keep track of these things.

I haven’t gotten very worked up about this nomination, mostly because it is inevitable but also because I trust the institution that is the courts more than I trust the executive or legislative branches right now.

I get that there are potentially big problems for my political ideology should she be confirmed but I think it has also been mentioned in the past that the courts, particularly the Supreme Court, don’t operate in some unhinged manner set on cultural upheaval precisely because they have neither the purse nor the power to execute federal laws. Their power stems from our societal acceptance of the court as the final arbiter. The court is not likely to do anything to upset that dynamic lest it become an advisory board.
