They talked about how the police saw the open-the-economy protesters as fellow citizens, so they interact with them as such. They don't show up in riot gear or line up in battle formation. But the police-reform protesters are seen as enemies. What would these protests look like if the police greeted them differently? Isn't it reasonable to assume that people are more likely to be willing to throw rocks at a cop behind a mask and shield than one just in shirtsleeves?

That point was being more made to the general last few posts that were assuming I was sincere in a post that I was clearly sarcastic in. It wasn’t meant to be yelling at you.
