Yeah, I remember that time, lowest point for the board as well with all the stupid bullying. Hope you´re doing well now.

there arent a ton of great live versions of these songs Im familar with, but I still really like this album. A lot of songs I love, just about everything has something I like about it, and the lyrical themes around aging and legacy are interesting, generally well written, and new. Its just that the songs are produced/recorded in such a generally flat and stiffling way
Mind Your Manners, Sirens, Lightning Bolt, Pendulum, Sleeping By Myself, and Yellow Moon still get pretty regular listens.

I liked this when it came out, but I think I was mostly in denial about how meh it was. It's by far their worst album in my opinion -- the production is really uninteresting and lifeless and some of it is kinda corny.
I like live versions of Lightning Bolt. Swallowed Whole might actually be my favourite song on the entire album. Pendulum and Yellow Moon are cool too. MYM is fine but I'm a lot less into it these days. Everything else is kinda lame.

I liked this when it first came out because it was leaps and bounds better than the previous record. It still is. And I still like this album a lot. It lives toward the bottom of the Pearl Jam catalog for me. But I still spin it often. Infallible and Yellow Moon are both completely unfuckwithable songs.

This album has so many of the band's all-time low points (Mind Your Manners, Lightning Bolt, Sleeping By Myself, Yellow Moon, Sirens, Future Days), gathered in one tidy place.

To include MYM and LB in the worst of the bunch while leaving out Getaway and Infallible is just silly.

Mind Your Manners is the only one I can even stomach listening to. Goddamn, that intro is still baller as fuck.
Wait. I do dig Pendulum, too.

Infallible is fucking amazing. Easily the best track on the album.

At the time of release, I said it was the best Pearl Jam song since Riot Act.

Pretty sure the entire band can fall asleep while playing
Infallible and not miss a queue.

For the longest time i kind of lumped it in with Backspacer as by far the bands two worst albums....then i gave these two my first back to back listen in years prior to Gigaton and i just thought Backspacer was significantly more enjoyable...still the bands two worst albums, but ever since then Lightning Bolt has been on its own as the bands studio album low point.

It's still Backspacer to me by a fairly wide margin. But I agree that BS & LB are the low points no matter which one ranks last.
