is it worth getting apple music for? I have nice headphones. I don't know if they are Atmos worthy.

it's probably worth it for No Code, Yield, and Ten.

Yield is definitely worth a listen. But yeah, you need headphones that can play Dolby Atmos. AirPod Pros work.stip wrote:is it worth getting apple music for? I have nice headphones. I don't know if they are Atmos worthy.

I have no idea, really, but they sure sound good in "spacial audio" mode.tragabigzanda wrote:AirPod Pros purport to offer an algorithmic facsimile of the Atmos experience via their “spatial awareness” feature. I’ve never tried it but I’m extremely skeptical it’s the same thing as actual Atmos headphones (though probably better than regular 2-ch headphones without “spatial awareness.”)Farmer John wrote:Yield is definitely worth a listen. The more time I’ve had to sit with this record the more I think ‘Pendulum’ should have been the opener and then into ‘MYM’. Such a weird spot for it in the middle of the record.

I agree with this. I prefer the slow burning album opener as well. Can’t Keep does a great job of this on Riot Act, Sometimes on No Code…oftheearth wrote:The more time I’ve had to sit with this record the more I think ‘Pendulum’ should have been the opener and then into ‘MYM’. I love Sometimes and Can't Keep for this very reason.liebzz wrote:I agree with this. I prefer the slow burning album opener as well. Yeah but Go is pretty great as well as an opener. Punch you in the face right away!

MYM could of also worked well here! Not in the same class as Go obviously but definitely a banger to start.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah but Go is pretty great as well as an opener. Punch you in the face right away!

Go works well in part because of lower volume jammy thing happening at the start. Granted, it might have also been cool if you popped on the album and was immediately slapped in the face with the power chords.oftheearth wrote:MYM could have also worked well here! And yet still not the weirdest tracking decision on the album - that dubious honour going to the whiplash transition that is My Father's Son into Sirens.oftheearth wrote:The more time I’ve had to sit with this record the more I think ‘Pendulum’ should have been the opener and then into ‘MYM’. Re: Lightning Bolt: the official album thread
there is thematic continuity between MFS and Sirens but musically its pretty abrupt

Re: Lightning Bolt: the official album thread
I wonder if we’ll get to the point where fans start requesting the Lightning Bolt songs that are rarely, if ever, played. And then we’ll be posting like OMG GETAWAY while we’re watching a setlist
