You are sillies. If there is time to do it and nobody is around, backing into parking space is correct. Backing out of parking space can cause more trouble.

There's obviously the vanity contingent, but if you know you're parking before things get busier, there's nothing wrong with reverse parking.

its never correct. It's always stupid. It's far easier to back out of a spot than to back into one. Unless you are robbing a bank and need to make a quick getaway, there is no reason to do it.

The fact is that backing into a parking space so that you can pull forward when leaving is actually safer and can help reduce your risks of injuries to yourself and others. The American Automobile Association (AAA) recommends all drivers back into parking spaces whenever possible

It is really just common sense. If you have time now do the more difficult thing now because later might be a bad time to clog up traffic and possibly get into a stupid accident

Also, if it's at work, it's preferable to leave 30 seconds sooner rather than arrive 30 seconds sooner. Saving Time on the back end

If you have an extra 15 seconds to do it, and you aren't holding anyone up by doing so, what exactly is the problem though?
Nowadays, with excellent reverse cameras with on screen guides and all, bleeping proximity sensors and all the rest, it actually makes it far more efficient to reverse into a bay, particularly a tighter fit.
To my mind this is a rare, solid irrational hate.
