im not counting a leak but yeah, song descriptions will be all over the place and RM is going to RM hard tomorrow
Or semi-hard because middle aged men don’t RM like they used to
They sell pills for that which can be discreetly delivered to your home at no additional charge. Imagine if the Ten Club could charge shipping and handling for that!?

those are two of my top 3 on the record, with Invincible.

But I like every song except for the two singles (Long Way has grown on me once it wasn't a single)

Apparently the Dark was on some Apple+ series

Ms Harmless wrote:my take on King Animal is that it's almost a great album but I hate "Worse Dreams"
Thats a good example of a song that seemed awesome when they released a clip and the whole version was a let down. I dont particulary hate it, but it seems there is a better version of the song they didnt record.
it's not as bad as the worst PJ songs imo, but the lyrics just make me cringe unfortunately and the mix isn't punchy enough for me

I hate the word cringe so much, and that's RM's fault. This isn't directed at you MH, you just happened to be the post I responded to.

I think the lyrics are describing something powerful, and I appreciate that it is Mike's authentic stab at it, but they do not read as particularly memorable. In some cases they are just flat out awkward.

It is also a song that is screaming to be epic, and neither the music nor Eddie's performance feels particularly epic, though I do think there's a nice build at the end. But its also so oddly hushed on a record that is always loud even when it shouldn't be.

Live it's pretty great - it gets the scope and sweep the album version can't quite match.

I do like Inside job on the album well enough but 3 star songs on tracks that are reaching to be 5 star experiences always feels slightly disappointing.
my post is about a Soundgarden song from King Animal

and I used "cringe" as a verb, as it should be used! never an adjective

Apparently the Dark was on some Apple+ series

The Dark was on Shrinking ( a pretty decent show) with Jason Siegel and Harrison Ford. I was pumped when it came on to open an episode.

The Dark
Power of Right (I know some hate it but it's my favorite on the record)
BTC
Fallout Today
Mrs. Mills

(All legitimately strong tracks to me)

ROJ
Try
Invincible

(All Pretty Good)

Good and Evil
Picture

(Have to be in the mood)

The Haves

(No Thanks)

On my Way - unrated not really a song.....

It was on that show with Harrison Ford...pleasant but forgettable show.

I think Long Way and Haves are the only songs I don’t like on that record. Although I sometimes skip Fallout Today.

Ha - I forgot long way on my rankings. So, that tells you...

Hey

This seems to be a MUCH higher quality clip of Running.

It's sounds great though my Sonos FIVE speakers in stereo.

UYI 2 is so, so good.

Estranged and Breakdown are epic two of my favorite GnR tracks.

This mojo article is mostly rehashing their history so far. Thanks Fricke! Never heard any of this before!

One new tidbit from Ament/Ed about the first couple rehearsals though
