More saxophone too
Get them in the studio with Tim Capello
Mm. And put some silvery synths on that shit, too.

Goddamn the 90’s really ruined music, didn’t they?

What are some songs are you thinking of? Curious because I don't think about production much.

Serious question: have you been to a ton of shows and/or played in bands, and if so, have you consistently worn ear plugs?
I've been to maybe a dozen shows in my life. No ear plugs.

It’s neutered. Doesn’t sound live at all. Totally ball-less. Verse riff if so robotic and stiff.

Disgusting. Letterman version is a triumph .

I’ve taken abnormally good care of my hearing, I think. And still there’s some hearing loss.

I genuinely wonder what the average hearing quality is for a bunch of 40-something rock fans on this board, and to what extent that plays into some of this stuff.
I'm not even sure what people mean when they say some music hurts their ears. Like, is it similar to an earache? Even after a really loud show I don't think my ears have ever hurt, maybe I can't hear well for a while afterwards, and may be a little discombobulated, but not ever really "hurting."

I trust strat on all things Binaural so much that even when I disagree I assume I'm wrong.

Marker
Grievance
In my Tree

Just to name a few. There are many others.

I love these songs but would make noticeable changes to the way they sound. EQ, instrumentation, mix, effects, etc.

I can hear the perfect versions of these in my head.

Well this is hyperbole.

IMT is great.

Let’s make a list of ACTUAL overrated songs.

I’ll start:
