You can play lossless files on an iPod or most phones too, I've been doing it for years.

Yeah you can't adjust anything on those things. The counterweight on another turntable will help keep the tone arm down without bouncing

assuming said albums will be in stores eventually? they're typically a little cheaper, and without the shipping

no indication given that they WON'T be at retail. i'd think it'd be pretty safe to bet you can wait for them to pop up in shops.
