Non-spoiler explanation: They mentioned the "kingsmoot" last night, so here's the skinny: Balon was already hatin' on Theon for seeming like a land lubber, and after he found out he had lost his twig and berries, you'll remember, he basically disowned him in season 3. Yara would seemingly be next in line, but there's never been a woman who's ruled the Iron Islands. So they're going to have a kingsmoot--basically, a meeting between all of the houses of the Iron Islands to pick the next ruler. Yara has a claim, and so does Theon if he returns--but, so does the Man on the Bridge (Balon's brother), since he's a male member of the family. Basically, it's shaping up to be the same sort of shitshow as when King Robert died and Joffrey, Renly, and Stannis all claimed the thrown.

They kinda gloss over this in the show, but the drowned priest tells Yarsha there will be a Kingsmoot, which is like an Ent Moot, except they pick a king

Wild and crazy idea that popped into my head, but includes a slight spoiler (the title for an upcoming episode...)

So, it seems Bran has a sudden fascination with the fact that Hodor used to be able to speak and that something caused him to later become simple-minded. I always figured he got kicked in the head by a horse or something, but I've seen other people floating ideas that he witnessed something that traumatized him. Episode 5 is titled "The Door"--which has a similar sound to "Hodor," and which the words might have gotten portmanteaud into after being repeated a million times. Perhaps he's got some supernatural knowledge (or, at least, an experience with the supernatural) that we haven't been privy to yet?

Here's a Hodor theory I saw on Youtube today that's kind of a mindfuck, but I could see it happening (there are no "spoilers" under the cut, but I know people get upset with unspoiled theories and speculation sometimes):

In Episode 2 it's established that there's something dangerous about staying in the greenseer's vision state for too long. This almost guarantees that Bran will violate that rule sometime in the near future. So theory goes: maybe Bran breaks some more "rules" and tries to contact young Wyllis in the vision, shoutinf "Hodor! Hodor!" and this crossing of the vision/reality border causes the poor young giant to lose his mind. This is tricky, and has some Kyle Reese elements involved, but it would help demonstrate how powerful Bran really is.
