Sure, they call the younglings "Jedi" as well. I get what you're saying. If you're a member of the order you are Jedi to some degree. A Youngling Jedi. A Padawan Jedi. A Master Jedi. So, fine, yes. On that score they are "Jedi."

So, yeah, I guess the best way to differentiate is by using the full term: Jedi Knight. I think a lot of times the word Jedi is shorthand for Jedi Knight. Jedi is a pseudo-religious order. And there are ranks within the order: Youngling, Padawan, Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, etc. So, Ahsoka and Kanan and all of them are Jedi in the sense that they are at some point on the Jedi Knight training spectrum. But they are not members of the Jedi Order.

Luke was the last one trained within the Jedi Order. Maybe he's started a new Jedi Order. We don't know yet. But it wouldn't surprise me if he's abandoned that order himself and if he's going to start training people, he'll create a new Order. I wouldn't be surprised if "Jedi" is something that gets phased out of the Star War timeline. The Force and warriors/protectors who tap into and use the Force will always exist, though.

If that makes sense. It probably doesn't. I have no idea. The title is probably plural.
