They did sound pretty good! (except Ole!)broken iris wrote:speed rockin' aside, the band sounds pretty good. Maybe the effort of writing the new album has made them remember what it's like to be rock musicians instead of rock stars. And Ole still sucks.
I'll take that as a compliment (if its pointed towards me). I'm not going to harp on the negativity, and nothing against any of you guys as people. I don't know anyone here. I'm kind of on the outside looking in on these forums and well it just makes sense to enjoy what we have with Pearl Jam Goddammit! They won't be around forever.dimejinky99 wrote:I don't do second accounts but if I did...
Point taken, and certainly everyone has a right to speak their mind. It just seems trendy to hate on the band here these days. Also I was a member on the old board and I've checked in here to get my PJ news/rumors quite a bit over the last decade. I think I have a good feel for the atmosphere round these parts.cutuphalfdead wrote:When people complain about the negativity on the board the way it was complained about here I feel like you just read the posts that say "wow, that sucked" and ignore that ones that point out why. And a lot of times things aren't explained as deeply as someone new would like to see, but that's because people do go over the same points here. But is that really a huge deal? This is a Pearl Jam message board, whether your opinions are positive or negative there's only so much that can be said. If you're here for any length of time you're going to repeat yourself. Or when the band makes the same stupid decisions over and over again, you're going to hear the detractors say things like "see! they're doing it again!". Sorry if you require more than that, but that's what happens.

What the hell are you talking about? That was a perfectly rational post.dimejinky99 wrote:Chud's been at the weed again.cutuphalfdead wrote:When people complain about the negativity on the board the way it was complained about here I feel like you just read the posts that say "wow, that sucked" and ignore that ones that point out why. Jeez, I knew he was starting to sound off-ish on it back in 2007.. but sounded decent 2010. Now it's un listenable, and given how he can sing songs that in theory are harder to sing, he should be able to knock this one out of the park. Such a shame.. I'll just remember it from 98 - 2000..Birds in Hell wrote:It's been a good long while now.JimX6 wrote:When did Ed start sounding so terrible on corduroy?

If I remember it correctly there was a newsletter/email from the Ten Club two or three weeks ago where they confirmed that there will be bootlegs very soon.Birds in Hell wrote:So, no news on bootlegs for these shows.
I mean, it's not as though I was really hanging out for them, but the thought crossed my mind today and I realised we never heard anything.

PJ has returned from their 3-show tour of South America. The energy from the fans in São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Santiago made for some exciting moments. Be sure to check out the bootlegs from these shows. More information about their release will be coming soon. Enjoy these fine photos while you're waiting.
