Watching this right now - great show so far, even though the lipsync on my copy keeps slipping behindelliseamos wrote:in hiding =(eddie just can't hit that note)

This has got to be the first pro-shot footage of In Hiding right?
Pearl Jam's sound system/soundpeople are a complete joke. Every time I've gone to a PJ show, the opening act is always loud and clear. Then PJ takes the stage and it turns to a distant mush. Philly '09 was the worst. I was sitting right in front of the soundboard and it sounded like complete shit. Like somebody playing a boombox across the grand canyon. You couldn't make out anything that was going on. A total waste of time. That's why I am never attending another PJ show.theplatypus wrote:I don't know what the mix was like on the feed, but the sound was really weak at the show. PJ's crew need to get their act together. The overall volume was lower than it should be (a gust of wind would swoosh by and obscure certain frequencies), Stone was barely audible during certain songs (did he even play in "Got Some"?) and Matt's snare sometimes sounded like he was hitting a soggy towel. I'd blame the festival, but other bands playing that same stage somehow managed to sound crisp and loud. There were vocal complaints in the section around me (and I was on a pretty good spot).
I expect this will be the best of the three. It was the best stream and setlist.Birds in Hell wrote:Only halfway through so far but this show is already a dramatic improvement on Sao Paulo.
Eh, they were alright. Nothing beats Lima in 2011 for boots from the last few years.WtOB? wrote:Careful mate, there were some pretty solid shows in 2012.
I think you mean Ottawa 2011, friend.Birds in Hell wrote:Eh, they were alright. Nothing beats Lima in 2011 for boots from the last few years.WtOB? wrote:Careful mate, there were some pretty solid shows in 2012.
The encore of this was only okay. Nothin' special.

We should join forces and create an Ottawa/Lima 2011 coalition then at least we'd have a two pronged attack.Birds in Hell wrote:It's okay, I think I'm the only cheerleader for Lima.WtOB? wrote:Yeah I do and I can't really figure out why I seem to be the only one.Birds in Hell wrote:You sure love that Ottawa show.WtOB? wrote:I think you mean Ottawa 2011, friend.Birds in Hell wrote:Eh, they were alright.
