Can't wait for the sequel where they ignore the implications of this ending and go back to more kung fu. Like they did with the last trilogy.

I’m surprised you like it at all. The whole thing is a warning about future trans and how we abandon all gender and humanity and become digital pigs and Lego blocks depending on the need of the matrix

The first one is about a lot of things. Not that I think it's super deep or anything, but it's a good jumping off point for a few discussions. Plus, it's just a cool action flick.

I didn't hate the new one. The first 3rd or so was nice at least.

Ironically, its when he leaves the Matrix (again) that the movie becomes a generic hollywood movie.

Her character in general was handled terribly in this movie, which I think is its biggest flaw. But I enjoyed it, still. The action sequences weren’t as good and some of the new characters needed more time, but for a sequel 18 years later it was good.
Once she remembers she’s Trinity, with that comes the knowledge that her matrix life isn’t real. She’s been unplugged before, so the matrix isn’t the only reality she’s known.

I would describe inconsistencies in how a character responds to finding out everything is a simulation as part of the rules of the Matrix more broadly. Why do they go back to the analyst to say "this is for the kids" if the kids weren't real. Who knows! No rules.
If the kids were bots then she's reproaching him for using "kids" as a way to control her.

"oh man I'm so mad at you for using one illusion to control me instead of another illusion! I'm so mad about that in particular!"

I think the franchise has established pretty solidly that The One has some pretty big problems with their "Matrix" life, so Tiffany didn't need much visually shown, to me; it seemed kind of clear that there was nothing there between "Tiffany" and Chad, and the fact that she could just leave like that in order to go back to Neo says everything the film needed to say

It's been a long time since I've seen this movie and I could be wrong (I was also barely paying attention by this point), but isn't Neo killing untold numbers of people in this scene? Or was there some line explaining this away?

I could probably just look up the plot again, but I can't be bothered.
