Badmotorfinger is very close but I think it kind of fizzles at the end.

Not sure about anyone else. Their discographies are pretty small, though.
I‘m tempted to say this but not sure about the one with Kurt Vile, especially considering how great the next three albums all are, although that alone shouldn’t disqualify it from being considered excellent. Granduciel and Vile both make better music apart than they did together imo.Donald wrote:The War on Drugs

Yeah I’d start there for sure. If you are curious to explore more, I’d recommend “Good Morning Spider”, but I suppose that could be debatable depending who you are talking totragabigzanda wrote:ok i just grabbed it*LetMeSleep wrote:Start with It's A Wonderful Life
*Herein lies the double-edged sword of modern music consumption. Had I made the 30-minute trek from my parents' house to Newbury Comics on Rt 114, and plunked down $14 for this CD, I'd give it a ton of spins before weighing an opinion. But because I just downloaded it from my streaming service, it gets approximately 20 minutes to make an impact otherwise I'm out.
20 minutes will at least get him to King of Nails. That song kills.LetMeSleep wrote:If the first 4 tracks don't do it for you, you're dead to me.
Yup I would say My Morning Jacketliebzz wrote:I am sure I would get a lot of argument about this but My Morning Jacket might fit. The Tennessee Fire, Evil Urges, and The Waterfall might be places of argument here, but I could make the case for each of them being excellent.
