I'll happily listen to the official single. Technically it's not a leak then.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:So how is this club handling the single? Will you guys listen to officially released material or is it a total blackout until the album is in your hands?
I'll be all over this thing if they actually release anything tomorrow - praising it for the first couple of hours as a return to form, best thing in 10 years etc.... before descending into ripping it to shreds mocking anyone who tries to expose any merits in the song.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:So how is this club handling the single? agree, if they can pull that off, I'd even consider listening to them again.Vic Cognac wrote:I want an album that the critics and mainstream will hate...For Pearl Jam, this will be a true return to form.
I think the best we can hope for is No Code/Yield era. But, who knows they may create another album that creates a new golden era, and one that we pine for a 'return to' for many years/albums after that.Walker Bait wrote:Return to form for me would be back to Ten/VS....which the mainstream loves. But I love all their albums so im just excited to hear the next step.
wow, even malice is getting caught up in the new album excitement.malice wrote:agree, if they can pull that off, I'd even consider listening to them again.Vic Cognac wrote:I want an album that the critics and mainstream will hate...For Pearl Jam, this will be a true return to form.

A No Code or Binaural type turn on this album would be a good one. I want something that aims higher and pushes the boundaries.Sgt. I believe that was their aim for Backspacer, but I feel they missed the mark by about a mile.
