Scream (2022)

well, that was so fucking fun. I loved how funny it was, and how fucking meta this one gets. The new cast is very good and the violence is top notch.
Its the most violent film of the saga for sure.
Spoiler: show
i wasnt expecting the lead to be Billy´s daughter at all....i was very shocked with Skeet Ulrich appearance...the guy looks exactly the same. Also, i loved how tired and careless both Sidney and Gale are in the third act. Im not happy with Dewey dying, i guess its ok? I didnt like how they killed him but the final shot was pretty cool

Finally got around to Halloween Kills last night with a friend. The fact that it made me respect Zombie's efforts made me hate it more. The film is a piece of shit, the acting is absolutely atrocious with even a mildly convoluted storyline completely unnecessary and a great hindrance. The film had absolutely no idea what it wanted or was supposed to be and achieved complete failure.

The kill-after-kill-after-kill trailer also really hurt the overall viewing with the film puttering along so often the acts having already been showcased (yes, all of them) just neutered the end product.

it's super ambiguous and there are one or two story beats it doesn't do much to explain, but it really worked for me

i fucking loved it, but i can totally understand the hate. Also, it works so much better if you watch the first one and then the second one. But i can understand the hate, its bonkers, campy and over the top.

I also adore the two Zombie movies. He did something different and i love it.

I don't think I was expecting the level of camp so that obviously struck a nerve in me, I'll still be seeing the final installment of course.

I was recently reading (again) about the havoc surround Zombie's efforts, especially II and I may need to revisit those again.

Well, most of Halloween hardcore fans hated Zombie's movies. Not sure why because he went for a different route and for me, it works. I love we see more of Michael as a kid and i also love we see the results on his violence in part 2.

The guys that wrote Super Dark Times did a treatment for a movie that sounded awesome and i hope they get to do once Gordon Green finished this trilogy.

It was about Michael being this unknown guy who wasnt caught and killed people in the area every halloween and this one was in a shopping mall. Basically he goes after some girls who work there and the movie ended with a bunch of them making it trough the night and Michael vanishing from the place once Halloween is over.

The final shot was Michael without the mask, watching them with the place full of people.

The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer is out, and i loved it. Yes, it might be too Halloween (2018) in its conception, even with Sally coming back as a super jaded old women looking for a revenge, but still looks great and gory.

I watched Titane today. Very weird movie, did not expect it to play out the way it did. But I thoroughly enjoyed it, I think... I'm not squeamish when it comes to gore, but a few moments had me tense up to the point I had to look away for sec. It's a movie that I can't relate to, and is very strange, but is going to stick in my head.
