That melon sculpture of Irv was a little too life-like.

Finished season 1. What a trip. I've always felt Ben Stiller's comedy was underappreciated, but hopefully he's getting his respect as a Director at least.

I love this show to bits. Woe's Hollow was an exceptional episode of television thanks to Turturro's performance.

Britt Lower has also been phenomenal since her first appearance.

Oh yeah. The whole cast is money. Hopefully we get Pamela Anderson in the season 2 finale.

The dynamics of the characters really do suit the metaphor in so many ways.

The guy who uses his job to hide from difficult emotional experiences. The guy who feels trapped at his desk, watching his kids grow up from afar. The person who feels more free to form meaningful bonds at work than they do at home. It’s surprisingly insightful about how it feels to work in an office environment.

Started season 2. I love this show. I really hope they stick the landing and provide satisfying answers. I don’t want this to be another Lost situation.
Keep on rockin’ in the free world.

This show wishes it was a good as LOST, though

Give it time.

I'd argue that Severance has the potential to be just as impactful culturally as Twin Peaks and Lost, but it's not on network television and it's not the 80s/90s.

Yeah I don’t see anyone watching this show at a bar to find out who killed Laura Palmer

The problem with that kind of thinking is that nothing can be "better" than Lost. It's the nature of the puzzle/mystery box show.

Answers are never as good as questions. And the more people talk and theorize, the more invested they become in their desired version of what they want the show to be. It's no longer about the show on its own terms.

I love Severance. I fully trust the creatives involved. Whether it's two or ten seasons, I'm here for the ride.

It isn't, but that's at least a take I get on board with.

But also, Severance is more of a Lost comp than Leftovers (in terms of the puzzle/mystery box show style), even if Leftovers is basically just a synthesized, paid cable redux of Lost, thematically.
