Good move. This buys you some time if Glennon doesn't make it or you draft another rookie QB.

Bucs just signed another OL, Dietrich-Smith. I'm very cautious about guys with two last names.

Over in Packerland, the general consensus is that we're sad to see him go.

I've been pretty happy with every FA signing so far, but am pretty sad that we don't get to see a 100% healthy Revis play for the Bucs.

I wanted them to get Michael Johnson in the past so im excited he is a Buc now, and Penn being gone improves the OL immediately but actually replacing him with Collins is so huge, Verner made me feel so much better about the Revis situation, im sure Revis will be back to his old self this year and probably the best CB in the league but he really was WAY too expensive for a Tampa 2 system and Verner is a much better fit.

The only thing im not thrilled about is Mccown, i think he will be fine if he starts but i don't see any reason to think he is a better option then seeing what Glennon can do in his 2nd season, and i really hope its a fair competition in camp because if Glennon looks better then he should be the guy no matter who drafted him.

After all the FA moves so far i will be hoping for Sammy Watkins or Kalil Mack at #7

i really think the Bucs are going to end up with Derek Carr, as obvious as it seems, but if it does happen i hope he either falls to the 2nd round, or if Mack or Watkins are both gone by #7 then they can trade down with someone and pick up some extra picks before taking him.

Glennon wasn't terrible and played pretty damn well in a few games so it's odd to me they're not giving him more of a look. But I guess everyone wants "their" guy.

He supposedly doesn't fit tedfords scheme

I think he should be the guy this year and if it doesn't work out then move on next year, but if the draft a qb then he will not be with the Bucs for long, if that's the case then i hope they can get something for him

It's sounding like he's becoming the latest headache diva WR, though. Bucs could be hoping for addition by subtraction.

Checked with my calculator at OTC and by trading him instead of cutting him, the Bucs get full cap relief as a result. Have to think this could be a one-year rental by the Bills as his cap number balloons to $6.8M in 2015.

he is definitely becoming a headache, and the contract is what made him tough to trade im pretty sure, just wish they could have gotten more. looks more and more like the 1st and 2nd round picks this year will end up being a QB and a WR in either order. my hope in that case would be Watkins is he can somehow slide to 7 and someone like Carr or Garapalo in the 2nd if they last that long

This gives me more hope that they will draft Watkins in the first round. I hope so.

Didn't Marrone and Williams already clash at Syracuse?

Happy to help. I'm surprised they didn't trade him to new England, that's where we sent all the other thugs.

I like the pick. What i like more is what Lovie Smith said in a press conference last night. Someone asked why they passed on Manziel, he said they already have two good qb's and Glennon is the quarterback of the future.
