Probably. I think they will throw some lines out soon. I they havent already. But doubt it's decided. Or they even jammed with other drummers.

Krusen has been posting a bunch of PJ related stuff on Instagram lately

Seems a little desperate.
Meanwhile, Richard Stuverud's been playing it cool. Just hanging back, putting out the vibes.

Unless Krusen already has the gig and he’s just warming everyone up for his announcement

I saw PJ20 last night, mainly because my gf wanted to see it.
Gotta say i got emotional during the movie, not just because of the band´s story ( which is amazing and incredible) but also because i got to remember mine too, specially around those years and the PJ20 festival.
Watching Cameron was hard. Im not sure who is going to be the drummer but getting Krusen back as a closing loop might be a perfect send off for the drummer situation. Chamberlain too i guess.

Yeah, that's kinda where I stand too. Although Chamberlain is a far far better drummer than Krusen. I would be fine with him being their last drummer for the next decade orso.

Chamberlain has been a session player for 30 years only to join Pearl Jam now? I personally don't see it. Yes his Wikipedia shows he has played with everyone from Kanye West to David Bowie but would he really like playing Pearl Jam spritz punk tunes?

Maybe the compromise is giving up on a significant portion of the catalog if it means once again having a drummer they really groove with.

probably? i know it's cool to put down pj here, but it's not like they are a band where every song sounds the same. as far as successful rock bands they are pretty diverse. also, punk songs are fun to play.

Chamberlain sure is a session player. But he's also a touring musician. For the last 20+ years he was also the drummer (live and studio) for Tori Amos.

Would you prefer if Pearl Jam announced a new full-time drummer? Or if they continued officially as a four-piece working with session and touring drummers?

I would prefer they announced a re-press of Lost Dogs and Benaroya.

Chamberlain is drumming on Brad Mehldau's upcoming album of Elliott Smith tunes (Mehldau being one of my all-time favorite musicians). The guy really is a renaissance man. I'm not sure I see him being a part of the band the way Matt was, but I'd love to hear them work with him again.

For me It should be Chamberlain or a younger unknown dude.

I'm still not convinced they are going to hire a drummer or come back anytime soon. This has been bumming me out for a month, and I think to myself, how much more does the band really have to give?
