And baseball is by FAR the worst for that.
It is kind of busch league to steal bases when you are up by 7 runs or more. It's classless to throw deep on someone if you are up by 5-6 touchdowns.
Stop this nonsense. You've never seen a team come back from a 7 run deficit? Professional athletes should do everything they can within the rules of the game to put up as many points as possible. Whoever has the most at the end wins. If one team scores drastically more than the other, so be it.
There a few exceptions I would consider but otherwise I agree.

Agreed. Just last year didn't a team come back from 35 down in the NFL?

It's not nonsense. Well in your opinion it is. In mine it's fucking classless. If you are stealing bases in a 10-2 game in the 9th inning that's fucking lame.

Unless that leads to an 11th run and they rally for 8 in the bottom of the 9th.

Agree to disagree I guess. I'd rather not incite a brawl though.

People shouldn't be offended when their opponent plays hard until the final out.

Stealing bases up by 8 runs in the 9th inning isn't playing hard. Again, agree to disagree. I think if you asked every player in the majors if this was ok most would disagree. If they wouldn't why don't you see this more? Why don't you see teams throw bombs in football when they are up by 6 touchdowns in the 4th quarter?

Shouldn't the blame in that type of situation lay with they team that went out and started fighting the opponent because they had their feeling hurt instead of with the team that was playing baseball?

That isn't right as well. Brawling in baseball is stupid.

It usually is, yeah. I just think it's particularly stupid when a team does it as some kind of retaliation for their own ineptness.

If you don't like something like that instead of head hunting brush someone back and be done with it. There is a way to play the game and a way not to. Starting brawls and running up the score are both wrong IMHO.

Why'd you charge the mound?

Uh, he was playing baseball better than I was, that's why!

Agreed. So dumb.
