I agree. :shake:

I use to have the mindset that I didn't want to go to a show by myself. For these above shows I could not find anyone to go with or people who liked PJ couldn't go. A lot of my friends don't really like concerts or they have wives who don't let them do stuff.

I just became friends with two pretty big fans 3 years ago. They had floor seats at the Lincoln show and I got a reserved by myself but still had a great time. My friends and I kept acknowledging each others freak outs. My friend who's a 10C memeber went to his 25th show in Lincoln, 26th last Sunday in Austin and his 27th will be in Denver. Wish we had met in the mid 90's.

I have only gone myself once but if that was my only option I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

My main PJ friend and I have gone 20 times together.

Nice. Yeah the last few years some of my favorite shows have been the ones I go to by myself. My ex wife didn't really like music and my current GF isn't much of a concert goer. As a 34 year old guy I obviously have friends who like Pearl Jam who remember the 90's like it was yesterday. My buddy Chris (the dude who has seen PJ 20 plus times I mentioned earlier) actually saw Nirvana in 1993. Most of my friends however have wives who limit their fun. Bitches. :finger:

Enjoying a concert with my wife depends on the artist. If it's more mellow or I don't know a lot of the lyrics, we have a good time. If it's one of my favorite bands that I get really excited for and like to sing along...she gets annoyed at my singing/antics, and I get annoyed that she can't just leave me alone...so to recap I will likely never take her to see PJ again and it's a shame that we're both big Counting Crows fans (well...good for riding in the car together, bad for attending a show).

Aren't Counting Crows, like, impossible to sing along with live? On account of the singer constantly changing the melody?

One would have to assume. But really, every generation has its bands that become casino, fair, and rodeo-barn fodder. Even Styx is still out there somewhere, steadily drawing in the hilarity.

Actually that's a great call. Probably more reason why she gets so annoyed at me. Hard to follow. Usually the choruses, though, are pretty standard.

Do you wear an oversized Styx shirt when lounging around the house?
