Great photo. Hope the unreleased music they made gets out someday.

Was there not an ep or that a few years back? For his anniversary of record store day?
I’m not in the molina sphere at all sorry if I’m missing something

10 years ago tonight was my first and only Jason Molina show (Magnolia Electric Co.). I saw Jason hanging out at the back of the club before the openers played, but he was talking to somebody else and I didn't want to interrupt, even to just say hi; one of the greatest regrets of my life. I was front row the entire show, and Jason was pretty big on eye contact throughout, so that was a plus. He gave me a wink and a point for knowing the words to "Whip-Poor-Will." Setlist was:
Arrow in a Gale
Little Sad Eyes
Hard to Love a Man
Whip Poor Will
Down The Wrong Road Both Ways
Josephine
Rock of Ages
Shenandoah
London Bridge
Talk to Me Devil, Again
Leave the City
Rider.Shadow.Wolf
Trouble In Mind
John Henry Split My Heart
Encore:
I've Been Riding With the Ghost
The Handing Down
I got my poster from the show framed about 5 years ago:
Been listening to the back catalogue all day and I am fine. Just kidding. I am a mess.

Turn your lamp down low, my love; goodbye
I hear the whistle singing now to the lonesome pine
I know that we faded out
But--oh--didn't we shine?
Didn't we shine?

A previously unreleased solo show from 2005 is getting a release early next year. Comes out for the Secretly Society record club in January, and looks like a pressing for other folks in the spring: https://www.secretlystore.com/live-at-l ... son-molina
