i went to a senior pga event near atlanta when i was a kid, and witnessed chi-chi twirl his club around like a swashbuckler after he birdied a hole. upon sheathing the imaginary weapon at his hip, he cockily strode off the green and gave me an enthusiastic handshake. afterward, i became eerily proficient at twirling long sticks and cylinders. transmission of superpower? maybe.
