Definitely not. A surprise and something that moved the plot in an interesting direction, but in reality it's not a super important point.

He's just saying that to make you feel better. He totally just spoiled the movie for you. It will also spoil Last Jedi, for reasons that will be clear later.

It's ironic, I missed this in stip's initial post. But I clicked on the spoiler here because I assumed it was either a reference to what we were just talking about or a joke.

Now TWO things have been spoiled for me. But you know what? I don't even give a shit. Both spoilers are super minor. And also, it's my fault. The movie is already out. If I'm bothered by this kind of thing, I probably shouldn't be posting in this thread until I've seen it. Both of these are ultimately on me.

The whole scorpion thing was kinda neat I guess.. I think I saw the scorpion tail in one of the trucks.. actually I thought it was a doc oc arm at first.. kinda bummed the post credit wasn't Norman moving into avengers tower(scorpion was already introduced on the ferry)
