I listened once, and like almost all other post-reunion Pixies material, I thought it was really, really, really boring.

The pinnacle of the "reunion" years for me were the final shows of 2004, which were the first official bootlegs that were post-mixed by professionals and released on silver-bottomed discs. The performances are generally solid and upbeat, and the Norfolk show is especially good. After this, it seems to go downhill and shows were spotty. Then Kim got the fuck out of dodge.

Going to see these guys in October and probably in June with PJ too. I put the latest one, with the demos...damn those songs are so fucking good, its almost as having another album right there.

How exciting. Is this really the first single? 'Human Crime' is confirmed to not be on the album?

Peep the piano arrangement of 'Human Crime' at 3:24. Beautiful.

I think I could really like this band. I've only heard a couple songs. Where should I start?

Doolittle and Surfer Rosa.

new song is an absolute banger; it sounds a bit Neil Young-ish, I wish PJ still wrote this sound so effortlessly

My streak of being totally indifferent to new Pixies music continues.

All the songs feel like they've come off a conveyer belt.

That spark of weirdness from their early music is just not there for me.

But hey, I'm glad they're out there doing their thing and making a living out of it.

I think of them as 2 separate entities. And enjoy both for different reasons.

They’re touring here late this year on a Come On Pilgrim It’s Surfer Rosa tour. I kind of wish it was just a normal show with new album and last album cuts.
