For me, Red Dot's purpose was always pretty straightfoward; it creates a Part A and B for an album, akin to flipping the record. I've always felt Do the Evolution marked the end of Yield's first half, with MFC kicking off its second half. I don't know if it was purposeful, but if there had been a more conventional song in Red Dot's place, I'm not sure I would have always naturally felt that stark a divide between the two halves of the album.

Yields major flaw is that Eddie didn't finish and include 'Untitled' before 'MFC'. Or I could be totally wrong and it was just an improv. Either way, I need this song before MFC :heartbeat:

i can't imagine people thinking GTF should be left off this album in favor of Leatherman lol.

Maybe they could also have taken off Do the Evolution and replaced it with U.

Yes. Though replacing Red Dot with Untitled would have been nice. But ultimately it's short and inconsequential so replacing it with something would make more of an effect on the album than just leaving it out entirely. I would like Untitled there instead but otherwise it can stay or leave.

It may be the case, but it's a good one and really leads well into MFC.

Does it matter anymore what songs are on an album, if some (most) songs are released as B-sides or leaked or in anthologies?

Is Yield any less of an album if Whale Song isn't on it.....even if you can now get Whale Song as an officially released track?

It's not often I listen to albums as a whole anymore; it's mostly random on my Spotify playlist or the USB stick in my car.

It's about time we have a studio version of Untitled. What is the quietest live version? Im going to attempt to remove the claps and crowd noises with AI.

The fanzine Tickle My Nausea had a tracklist.

"Posting to the Bugs mailing list, a kid who works at Muchmusic (the Canadian equivalent of MTV), claims to have gotten his mits on a rumored track list, which follows:

1. Pilate
2. Brain of JFK
3. MFC
4. Lowlight
5. Given To Fly
6. You
7. Wales (sung by Jack)
8. Faithful
9. All The Yesterdays
10. Push Me Pull Me
11. In Hiding
12. Weatherman
13. I Wish
14. All Night

The Muchmusic kid says the list was sent by someone claiming to have gotten it from someone at the Rumor Pit. These tracks are said to be 14 of 20-26 they've recorded for the albums, the kid says they represent all or most of Yield."

Can't remember how to upload images. I wanna put a screenshot of the page of the fanzine.

I feel like the one on Live on Two Legs is the definitive version.

So they really DID replace Do the Evolution with U :O
In all seriousness this would have been such a weird tracklist.

The end is pretty awful (Ending on All Night? What? That would be horrible) but the first few tracks are quite cool (I kinda love the bravery of opening with Pilate lol before bursting into Brain of J). MFC would be a cool track after that. And Im not sure the album wouldn't be strengthened by losing No Way

that feels more like a list of tracks than a tracklist, if i can draw that distinction. i dont think it works
