Mercedes a second off Ferrari and Red Bull in the start of q3. Probably one more lap each. Ferrari are 1 and 2 so far.

Leclerc on pole, ahead of Verstappen and Sainz. Hamilton just p5. Bottas p6, Magnussen p7. Don’t know what happened with Russell, but only got p9.

Tight: 1-2, 4-7, 9-10. Mercedes alone in third, and McLaren didn’t seem awful, but not great either, so alone in 8th. McLaren was possibly just a couple of great laps from Norris away from fighting with Haas and others for the 4th spot among the teams. So too early to fully judge them. Ricciardo needs to find more pace though.

Russell says his time in q2 would have easily been top 6 in q3 (true), and that they made an error in how they planned for q3.

There is a limited amount of people on RM who follow F1 it seems, and I might be the only one for F2. But look forward to seeing F3 champion Dennis Hauger make his F2 race debut now.

Watch Perez in that 4 slot

Absolutely a chance that the Red Bull is a better race car than the Ferrari, if so Verstappen should win. We’ll see tomorrow.

F3 race was good today, Leclerc’s brother had a great race.

Been a good race. With Mercedes likely to improve in future races, there are three clear top teams. Those six drivers will win most races, and score six out of the ten points places in most races as well.

Om medium tires now and still seventh. Think that’s the best place he could hope for today, unless something happens ahead of him.

A real shame for Red Bull. Fantastic for Magnussen and Haas with 5th.
