I think "This man has no dick" could easily be used in a red-band Youtube trailer. But your point is well taken.
that's the only one i could think of, which is probably more to skitch's point

ooo ooo! I got it. The original is a scifi action flick with humorous moments, while this remake is like slapstick, made for the jokes flick that has scifi elements!

I'm a massive fan, but I recognize that they are in a pretty serious slump of churning out unfunny garbage. I believe it's due to the changes in the writers' room, and their general unwillingness to do anything even vaguely biting when it comes to social/political commentary. The only skits that are occasionally funny are the oddball/absurdist ones, which are usually the last skit of the night (if not cut for time and aired on NBC.com).

somewhat. This one looks a lot more broad and slapstick than the original. Everyone kinda acts like cartoons. Not that the original was serious drama or anything, but with the exception of Venkman, who was kind of the window into the movie, everyone else was playing it straight, no matter how silly things got or how goofy their character.
If a ghost showed up, no matter how goofy it was, people were terrified. Here they take selfies and deliver their schtick.
But that problem isn't limited to this movie. Many recent comedies seem to fail the same way.

I think Chris hemsworth may end up being the funniest thing in either movie
And good point re: the lack of trailer ready jokes in the original.
I don't know guys, I think this may end up pretty good. I'm not sold, but I am curious

Doctor: "What are your hobbies?"
"Well I am really angry about the new ghostbusters movie"
D: "So you're not sexually active that's helpful"

went and saw the original Ghostbusters in a theater today and there was a sneak peek/preview after it for this. Spoilers: it made it look worse. Kate Mackinnon might be the only worthwhile thing in that movie.

Take Bill Murray out of the originals and they're a mess. Bit harsh everyone writing this off without even having seen it.

If the movie turns out pretty good, then the studio must fire the people doing the trailers for showing the worst scenes from it.
