Jorge, if it's any consolation, my comment was everything to do with how the public and the media will exploit the event for its own insignificant ends, and nothing to do with how happy I am that the kid was given this awesomely special day.

Exactly. You can never please everyone. If nothing like this was being done, there'd be people complaining too. There are charities doing things like this all the time, but not everything is publicised. These charities have only a certain amount of funding and resources, so not every single unfortunate kid is going to get their wish. But at least some of them get that chance.

Yes that is exactly what I was saying when I didn't say that. I didn't expect anyone to understand the true, hidden meaning of my post but I guess some people are just very good at reading between the lines.

I think people are probably missing the fact that I said I was happy for the kid.
