Jesus, you guys.
It's sublime science fiction. The genre has always been about exploring our world and our humanity (both the ugly and the divine; the actual and the possible) and this film nails the heart of the genre. It pulls from predecessors in compelling ways but feels fresh and new. It's scary in its relevance to our current world but also feels universal and timeless in that relevance. This isn't a theme that will feel dated in five or ten or even thirty years. It's powerful and resonates.E.H. LV doesn't hate it. He has stated that multiple times already.
Can we stop calling this movie a "film" like it's some cinema-scape altering, award-worthy art house production. It's pissing me off. It's basically a summer blockbuster wannabe.
WEAPON
Amy Adams performed well.
