I've enjoyed both, but I think Smash is amazing. Great fun. Would probably pick that if I was only getting one. However, I got my girlfriend to play two player on Mario U, and that was a blast. She's not a big gamer.

See that's the thing.. I think personally I'd rather smash but I think the gf would get into MU because she really likes the old school smbs

Just get Nintendo Online and play the older NES Mario games there. You both win!

I have that.. it's just MU is a newer version so it's something neither of us have ever played

That's fair. It's a fun game. You can always get both and sell Mario back. Nintendo games hold their resale value really well.

How many hours must you play a game for it to be worth it?

Depends on the game and how quality those hours are.

Sure. I've thought a bit about this. Over the past decade I've often only bought a couple of games, and played those an adequate amount. But both in my teens, and now, I feel like I have games that I haven't played enough.

I do feel the main Switch games give good value though. You really get what you expect out of them.

Anyone tried playing Wolfenstein with the shotgun joycon attachment? Looks potentially cool.

The two Seattle companies are getting cozy. It'll be interesting to see how far this goes.

Microsoft is laying the groundwork for a completely cloud based future. Extremely smart idea, but it may not pay off for awhile given the state of broadband internet in the US.

My fiancee and I finally bought our Switch. We're going to have it at the wedding with Smash Bros, and her Wii U with Mario Kart, because I never have anything to do at weddings once the dancing begins.
