I read somewhere that DC is happy with the movie and will continue this universe but in a more relaxed way, doing standalone movies that somehow connect but they dont form a whole story.
I'm ok with this. Not enough time is devoted to how the general population deals with a world full of superheroes in the Marvel films. An interconnected universe can be fun in a lot of ways, but flawed in just as many.

I like the general idea that they share the same world. But i realized with Wonder Woman how much i missed the old days with just the superhero you went to see in the movie.

Very interesting report

https://www.wsj.com/articles/offbeat-su ... 1509997635

Comicbookmovie.com summarizes:
According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, 2018 looks set to be a "reset year" for the DC Films Universe as Warner Bros. sets out to focus on a slate of movies which will be driven by the visions of directors as opposed to a shared world akin to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to studio president Toby Emmerich, "We don’t want to limit the creativity filmmakers can bring to the table by saying these characters have to come in a particular order and all fit into the same universe."

Before that, though, we're getting Justice League, a movie which was reportedly given a last-minute rewrite by Zack Snyder and Chris Terrio to "make the movie less serious and more hopeful" Interestingly, it was Warner Bros. boss Kevin Tsujihara who insisted that it run for less than two hours, possibly because "significant reshoots" led to the already big budget shooting up to over $300 million.

A shorter running time means more screenings in theaters and a greater chance for the studio to regain the money they've spent. Going back to those reshoots, studio execs were apparently somewhat satisfied with the cut he delivered earlier this year but felt that work was still needed to make it lighter, hence why Joss Whedon was brought on board to write (and direct) reshoots.

"A lot of the work was integrating the two tones and making it feel like one movie," one person close to the post-production process told the site in regards to whether the very different styles of the two filmmakers mesh well. Now, Warner Bros. is working on what Emmerich calls a "super robust slate" of DC Comics adaptations but it's going to be very interesting seeing how Justice League does...
Over 300 million?!?

They kind of just did two movies (civil war and spiderman) that dealt with those very themes.

They touched upon them, but I wouldn't say it was the core theme of each film. Civil War was way more about how the heroes were dealing with the fallout and their own moral choices.

I havent see it...but pretty much every marvel movie has a cameo o a featured superhero. Its boring.
I miss the old days.

Exactly. But in that scene where he tells the Flash to save one person, it also looks bunched and crooked and cheap. His cowl looks really, really bad. It seriously looks worse than some fan-films I've seen. Ick.

Wow, I disagree, I really like the look of the cowl

The design is cool. But look at his chin and his neck. It doesn't look like it fits him at all. The whole thing looks like a store bought Halloween outfit. It's loose on this neck. And baggy and kinda looks like it's on crooked.

I was listening to the BvS soundtrack yesterday and thinking about how there aren't that many good themes coming out of these films like the Williams piece from the original movies. Then I started thinking that the best way to bring Superman back to life in the movie is to have that fucking theme just blare out of the speakers when he's revealed. That would be awesome.

Then I saw a tweet today from someone listening to the soundtrack and sure enough, Williams' theme is in the movie.

It reminds me of Batman. It's brutish and bulky and kind of beastly. I prefer it over the sleek Matrix-y body armor thing that Nolan gave us.
