Either way sounds like a bit of a scam. I read somewhere that XL are going to press new copies from Parlophone stampers once the existing stock sell out (which could be quite a while).

They all sound good and were mastered at the time of the album's original release.

HTTT has "extra" material in the sense of some crossfades not being present to accommodate the side breaks.

Despite being self-proclaimed "non-audiophiles", Radiohead knows exactly what they are doing when it comes to mastering vinyl, unlike a certain other band that carried on and bitched and moaned about how much CD's suck.

I got a Decemberists record to almost completely round out my collection, the new Radiohead, and a Spoon record which was mislabeled--a run of 500 that's red, I got it for $12.

Picked up 2 Melvins reissues yesterday, Stoner Witch and Houdini. Third Man did a great job with these.

Camelcamelcamel pays off again: I got Metallica's black album for $6 today, which is the perfect price for a bit of adolescent nostalgia.

I actually haven't opened it, but I'm pretty sure it's black. Last time we were at the record store, my wife asked about the differences between black and colored vinyl--and when she realized there was no difference besides price, I thought her eyes would roll out of head.

Yeah, I don't really care about colored vinyl. Sometimes it's fun, but usually I couldn't care less. I just wondered how hard it was to get Picaresque anymore. Didn't know if that RSD pressing was the only one out there on the regular.

Sunny Day Real Estate's "How It Feels to be Something On" is getting a reissue. Fuck yes. Just stumbled across this last night by accident and snagged a Sub Pop Loser Edition. So stoked.

Nice. I'd say it's fairly rare. It hasn't been pressed since '96, and they are generally pretty expensive. Your clear version looks like it has a median price of almost $90USD on Discogs
