All you nit pickers are suddenly questioning if things are ret-conned, so I ask once again if Disney+'s Kenobi is, in fact, canon.
What this post presupposes is...maybe it isn't?

If they do decide to go the canon route, I think there's a good opportunity to tie the events in this series to the Original Trilogy through Luke, Leia and Anakin. Especially considering all three of those characters were in A New Hope along with Obi-Waz

Come at me Scrubs lovers !
I used to like you.
Just whacked my head on the sharp corner of the HVAC system in our crawl space, so consider us square.
Are you hiding from Inquisitors?
Is this a Scrubs reference
So is your face!

I'm just asking questions here. What do you want me to do? You guys are the ones suddenly questioning the canonical nature of this thing with your retcon queries.

Huh. No actually that never crossed my mind. But I guess it would sort of make sense since Haja has a Correllia connection.

Retconning is a proud Star Wars tradition dating back to the OT. It would be weird and contrary to Lucas's original vision to stop doing it now.

I like this. The true rets were the cons we made along the way.

The thing is, whatever goes down in the rest of this show, things are going to reset to the status quo as we knew it before the show happened. It's not going to alter anything in the overarching story, because it can't. In fact, it might sit a little awkwardly with some of the established stuff. So maybe it would be best to just take it as its own thing and not think about it too much. Kind of like Better Call Saul.

That get away was too easy. Vader could have put out that fire or crushed that robot or force choked that woman.
He did all those things in this episode, and any one of them would have ended Obi-Wan's escape.
I like to think that was a moment of "there's still good in him" coming out. That was how I read the scene.
But it's also totally valid to read that as a cat/mouse thing. He said he wanted to torture Kenobi. So maybe he did let him go knowing full well he'd get him again.
This.

I think it’s more he wants him to suffer. We’re dealing with / thinking next week time wise. He knows he’s gonna get him in minutes probably. He’s definitely enjoying the hunter/prey of it all.
Is it gonna happen though? Obi wan is fucked up injured after that. Someone has to rescue Leia from Reva. Obi wan to face down Vader again *and* rescue Leia?
Seems like an impossible reach tbh.
I reckon we’re gonna get ahsoka. Or someone else.
Ps Tala. Who is she and why am I not remembering? She’s mad familiar but I’m drawing a blank. Feel like we’ve seen her before but no idea when

The actress who plays Tala was in Game of Thrones. Maybe that’s where you are remembering her?

yeah i agree with the whole ¨there is still good in him¨ situation. We also know that Vader is super conflicted about what happen and his role in the empire too.
Fuck Disney just release all the goddamn episodes!
