I like the title. It checks all my boxes. It's a bit campy and matinee serial-y, it's strong and action oriented, it maintains the "re" trend, it mentions Skywalker, and it's sort of open-ended as to what exactly it means. It has multiple implications. I like that.

This is petty.... I admit that, totally... but I'm glad they didn't for no other reason that it means that tree was wrong. :haha:

Plus, now that opens up the fact that Rey IS probably a Skywalker. The one thing I really liked about TLJ was that Rey ended up being a "nobody" as far as her parents.

I really like the title. Hope it's the final title, with Episode IX thrown in to make it in line with the other 8.

So... the opening dialogue... is that Luke? And is he saying "We've passed unholy now... a thousand generations live in you now... but this is your fight."

Is that what those lines are? I'm at work on shitty speakers and it's really difficult to tell.

It'll be in the marketing and stuff. But they abandoned the numbers for the ST. TFA and TLJ didn't have the numbers in them in the trailers either. That was mostly a branding thing for the PT.

JJ (or maybe KK? -- now I can't remember, but one of them) actually made a big deal about dropping the Episode VII from the trailer/title reveals back in when he was first brought on.

"We've passed on all we know" is what I heard.

It's shitty that they needed to incorporate the worst aspect of the old EU - no one stays dead.

I like her being "nobody" too. And I don't think this at all confirms that the idea is being retconned. I think those lines at the beginning and the title much more strongly imply the idea that the Jedi are gone and a new order is coming and that order or whatever is called Skywalker.

Thank God Colin Treverow isn't directing this
Huh. I kinda like that idea.

Did you like the Last Jedi? I don't recall.
